"We are still building the house our fathers never finished."
Two families, displaced years apart, rebuilding from nothing
Victor and Jennifer were both born and raised in Northern Nigeria. Insecurity forced both of their families to flee, years apart, with nothing but their lives. Jennifer's family returned to their village. Victor's family was warned they would be killed if they did not leave, and fled east to rebuild.
Both fathers started from zero, trying to put up a home for a family of six children. Both died in the middle of that effort, worn down by the weight of starting over with nothing. Today, both houses still stand unfinished, over ten years later. Jennifer's family lives in her maternal home. Victor's mother lives without a home of her own to call finished.
Victor and Jennifer met in 2021. Falling in love, they discovered they were carrying the same story. They married, and chose to build one company that could answer both of their lives at once: a real estate business with the rigor to acquire, value, and develop property properly, and the conviction to make sure fewer families are left, like theirs were, with a house that never gets finished.
VICJEN Housing Tech is that answer: a profitable, technology-driven business that funds real housing relief for families facing what Victor and Jennifer's families faced.
